On the official site for the anime adaptation of the light novel series written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra, Kami-tachi ni Hirowareta Otoko A new promotional image for the project was published.
The site also revealed eight new cast members, including (from left to right):
- Yuuki Kuwahara like Eliaria.
- Daisuke Ono like Reinhart.
- Marika Kouno like Miya.
- Motomu Kiyokawa like Gain.
- Kikuko Inoue like Lulutia.
- Makoto Koichi like Kufo.
- Hiroki Yasumoto like Ryota Takebayashi.
- Makoto Furukawa like Tabuchi (design undisclosed).
The series is a co-production with Funimation and is scheduled to premiere in October of this year. Roy began publishing the novels on the website Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2015, and is still in publication. The editorial Hobby japan publication of paper novels began with illustrations by Ririnra in September 2017.
Ranran began publishing a manga adaptation in the magazine Gangan Online from the publisher Square Enix in November 2017. The publisher published the fourth compilation volume last October.
Production team
- Takeyuki Yanase (Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni) is in charge of directing the anime in the studios Maho Film.
- Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black clover, Jashin-chan Dropkick) is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Kaho Deguchi (Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai) is in charge of character design and animation direction.

One day, the life of a middle-aged Japanese man named Ryoma Takebayashi comes to a spontaneous and disappointing end. Ryoma was never graceful in his life, but after death, three gods requested his cooperation and reincarnated him as a boy in a world of swords and magic.
Receiving a cordial and divine welcome from the gods themselves, Ryoma decides to live in a relaxed way in the forest for the time being. Working diligently to hunt and learn magic, his greatest passion becomes … training slimes?
