During the event Netflix Festival Japan 2021 Production of an anime adaptation of the spin-off manga by Homura kawamoto and illustrated by Katsura saiki, Kakegurui twin room. The series is scheduled to premiere on the platform in August 2022 Netflix worldwide and is produced by studios MAPPA.
Kawamoto and Saiki started publishing the spin-off manga in the magazine Monthly Gangan Joker from the publisher Square enix in September 2015. In addition, the main manga was written by Homura kawamoto and illustrated by Toru Naomura, and has been published in the same magazine since March 2014. This manga inspired a two-season anime adaptation produced by the studios. MAPPA and released in July 2017 and January 2019, which has accumulated a total of 24 episodes so far. Live-action adaptations have also been produced in feature film and series formats.
