Kodansha Publishing issued a press release announcing that the light novels were written by Rokujuuyon Okazawa and illustrated by Wise John, Kaiko sareta Ankoku Heishi (30 days) not slow in Second Life (The retired dark soldier’s slow second life in his 30s), will have an anime adaptation. The statement confirmed that the premiere is scheduled for January 2023, but did not reveal any production details or the cast of the voices.
Rurekuchiewho is responsible for the manga adaptation shared a special illustration to celebrate the announcement.
Okazawa began publishing the story on the independent service Shousetsuka ni Narou in November 2018 and finished it in July 2020. The editor Kodansha began its paper release in August 2019 with illustrations by Wise John. The manga adaptation of Rurekuchie will be published in the magazine Young magazine of the 3 from Kodansha since August 2019.
