Junji Ito is one of the most important authors of the horror genre manga of late. With his stories and deformed bodies that can often be found on the pages of his works, he continues to terrify many fans who could soon enjoy his works in the anime version as well.

As early as 2019, we learned about the production of an animated series for Uzumaki, a work that tells the terrible supernatural events that involved the residents of the city of Kurozu-cho who were affected by a curse. The latter is a theme that often recurs in the mangaka's stories along with his own disturbing and characteristic drawings often honored by his fans. An example of this is this strange cosplay, which combines the style of Ito with the character of Diavolo from JoJo's bizarre adventure.

While we wait for the Uzumaki anime to be released, the release of which is currently being postponed to 2021, we hear of one from the MangaMoguraRE Twitter account another animated project This will include the works written and illustrated by the master of horror. Unfortunately, we are currently not aware of this more details We are therefore waiting for information to be published.

Finally, for those interested, I report on the animation of a lover of the works of Junji Ito, thanks to which the story The Enigma At Amigara Fault was reproduced.

What do you think about it? Would you like to see the animated version of one of the mangaka stories? What do you think the story the animated adaptation will receive will be? Let us know in the comments.
