Finally Jujutsu Kaisen is about to return. While the manga continues its weekly release on Weekly Shonen Jump, the anime, minus some interruptions, is halted by Gege Akutami. In any case, it won’t be long: After the film, Studio MAPPA immediately got to work on Jujutsu Kaisen 2, which is now being promoted with a poster.
The new key visual presents the characters involved in the next episode cycle: Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, both visible in a younger version of the contemporary. But there is one more detail to note on the poster: the presence of a Subtitles for Jujutsu Kaisen 2. There are actually four kanji divided into two pairs.
The first kanji is 懐玉 (reading: kaigyoku) or “Hidden dowry” and is a clear reference to the narrative arc that will be adapted in the next few episodes. The same goes for the second kanji pair, 玉折 (reading: gyokusetsu) or “Wasted Dowry”, another mini-story arc. It means that in the next episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen, chapters 64 to 78 will be adapted Pretty sure. Whether only these are the focus of the second season or whether Studio MAPPA will unveil more posters and maybe even a trailer with all events in the future is not clear for the time being.
In this case, the famous Shibuya saga with a season reduced to 12 episodes would remain out of the game until then Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. In the coming weeks, Studio MAPPA’s production will certainly make it clear where the anime is and what to expect.
The subtitles in the first KV of JJK S-2 are “懷玉 玉折”.
