The animated implementation by the MAPPA studio from Jujutsu Kaisen has exponentially increased the popularity of the work conceived by Gege Akutami, introducing millions of viewers and fans of the industry to the dark universe inhabited by curses, demons and powerful sorcerers, some of which are particularly well characterized.
The quality of the work done by the MAPPA animators for Jujutsu Kaisen has been praised and applauded multiple awards throughout 2021, including the top anime award of the year at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival. However, the series’ list of achievements was expanded by a competition organized on the Japanese website AnimeAnime, in which users were asked to vote for the best character in the suit.
