The first season of Studio MAPPA Anime ended after a long release between October 2020 and March 2021. The result was an explosion of the Jujutsu Kaisen brand which will soon be returning to Japan, albeit with another animation project.
At the end of 2021 comes Jujutsu Kaisen 0, a film that deals with the events of the manga prequel. Before the author Gege Akutami devoted himself to the main manga, he actually published a series of oneshots, always based on the world of wizards, which were then summarized in a single volume and, despite their nature, are closely related to the main plot. IS from this act the choice of the date of Jujutsu Kaisen is derived from 0 at the cinema in Japan.
In fact, December 24th is the moment when the “Night festival of the 100 demons“, an extremely important event for Jujutsu Kaisen and which is then properly explained in the film. MAPPA Studio and the production have therefore decided to combine this event with the release in order to make the fans of the series happy, who in a certain sense find what they are looking for become themselves. these stories coincide with the protagonist Yuta Okkotsu.
Who knows if the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen 2022 follows a similar speech.
