Several months have passed since the long break of Jujutsu Kaisen in the summer of 2021. For almost two full months, Weekly Shonen Jump magazine had to do without one of his flagship mangawhich, by the way, exploded in popularity precisely thanks to the excellent anime by Studio MAPPA.
From this point on, the breaks of Jujutsu Kaisen were carefully dosed. The editorial team allowed mangaka Gege Akutami to take a break about every two months similar to ONE PIECE, My Hero Academia and Black Clover. Obviously, the pauses are usually planned and announced, so if the manga suddenly pauses, it will raise some doubts and sound the alarm bell.
Jujutsu Kaisen takes a surprise break and thus will not be published in Weekly Shonen Jump #15 and consequently on MangaPlus. This is evident from the leaks from the magazine over the past few hours, hence the release of Chapter 178 is being pushed back to next week. Inevitably, one immediately thinks of the time before the long hiatus, when Gege Akutami was forced to take several sudden breaks for workload. Also, Jujutsu Kaisen took a break from publishing just three weeks ago.
Meanwhile, the series is being expanded to include the new video game Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade.
According to Leaks, Jujutsu Kaisen is on a sudden hiatus this week in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #15. The series is set to continue in issue #16.
