A few moments ago, Kadokawa showed off the second trailer of Josee, the Tiger and the Fish, Studio Bones' new film based on the legend's tear novel Seiko Tanabe. The beautifully animated video shows the relationship between the two protagonists and contains an excerpt from Eva's song "Shinkai", which was specially composed for the film.

Josee, the Tiger and the Fish will debut in Japan on December 25, 2020simultaneously with the release of PokΓ©mon: Coco. The film, which has already been postponed once due to the health emergency, is directed by Kotaro Tamura (former director of Noragami) and will be shown in a special preview during the Tokyo International Film Festival planned for next month.

The story of Josee, the tiger and the fish tells the relationship between the young student Tsuneo and the beautiful Josee, a girl who is confined to a wheelchair for health reasons. The two meet by chance one morning on a walk between Josee and her grandmother and form a special relationship.

Studio Bones will then return to the cinema a year after showing My Hero Academia: Heroes Risingand will be replicated again in 2021 with the distribution of Eureka Seven: Hi-Evolution 3. The studio is one of the most sought-after in recent years and is currently working on the production of My Hero Academia 5 is Bungo Stray Dogs Wan!.
