The third series of Jojo’s bizarre adventure, well-known manga by Hirohiko Araki, inserted a unique power that differed tremendously from the old concentric waves. The Stands became the focus of the series: these energy manifestations were closely linked to a character and had unique powers.
Originally, these powers got their name from the tarot cards. However, with the fourth series, Hirohiko Araki made a radical change by basing the names of these units on famous songs and musical groups. If these were faithfully translated in the manga, the same cannot be said for the anime. As is well known, i Names are changed to avoid copyright issues with various music labels from all over the world.
Same thing happened in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, recently returned to Netflix with new episodes. The portal decided to change Limp Bizkit to Flaccid Pancake. However, the position of Jolyne Kujo and Ermes Costello’s enemy has now changed and became Limp Vizkit. This decision to change the translation of the name did not please some fans, who flocked to Twitter to comment on the matter.
What do you think of this return of the Joestar family?
For those who don’t know, the booth in JJBA – Limp Bizkit was always localized to Flaccid Pancake.
But after watching episode #1 of the second episode of Stone Ocean, it’s now “Limp Vizkit” —
Please pour one out for the pancakes today.
