today Jojo’s bizarre adventure is one of the most popular franchises in the world, a series that still manages to attract a community of millions of fans. Currently, Hirohiko Araki’s masterpiece enjoys several television series, but few know that Jotaro first appeared 30 years ago.
It had been in the air for months, but the fans were eagerly awaiting the announcement of Jojos Part 6, which finally arrived with great enthusiasm with a special event on April 4th. There’s no date for Stone Ocean’s debut yet, but fans hope they won’t have to wait much longer to see the new installment of anime episodes on the small screen.
In any case, the current year marks the thirtieth anniversary of a rather strange event, the Jotaro’s first appearance in animated form. It was in 1991 when a Japanese television commercial first aired TOEI animation for the video game “Famicom Jump II: Saikyo no Shichinin“In this preview, which you can admire at the end of the news, is the protagonist of Kochikame and from Dragon ballas well as many other very popular jump series at the time. In fact, for a few moments we see Jotaro appear, thus showing himself to the public 2 years before the 1993 OAV series was released.
On the other hand, did you know this strange anecdote? As always, let us know with a comment in the dedicated box at the bottom of the page.

This was the first animated Jotaro in Jojo’s history, designed by Araki himself and animated by Toei Animation for a commercial for the video game “Famicom Jump II: Saikyō no Shichinin”. This was published in 1991, 2 years before the SC OVA. pic.twitter.com/KV9UD9YOYW
