The press release confirmed that it is scheduled to premiere on June 10 in theaters in Japan and revealed the feature film’s story, which is described as follows:
- In the film, the characters can be transported to another world thanks to a wormhole that suddenly opens in the classroom. They all end up in a world ruled by a runaway golem. They also meet a golem girl with a personality similar to Megumin, a man with a walking stick who seems to know Subaru, and a woman who wears the same uniform as Tanya. Our intrepid group strives to return to their world.
