After announcing the arrival of a Hulk and Thor crossover, Marvel Comics has finally revealed more information about it “Banner of War”, the event where the two strongest Avengers meet. To help with communication, Marvel also shared the covers of the numbers that the crossover will develop on.
The clash begins in April on the sides of Hulk vs. Thor: Banner of War Alpha #1, which will serve as a prologue to the fight. The event then continues on Thor #25, Hulk #7, Thor #26, and Hulk #8 over the following weeks, ending in June 2022.
All issues of Banner of War are written by screenwriter Donny Cates and drawn by artist Martin Coccolo. The event was held to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the two characters protagonists and will also see the presence of a guest of honor: Iron Man, who with a special “Celestial Hulkbuster” will try to help Thor by capturing the Hulk.
The Green Goliath is going through a special time in the comics right now: An unprecedented transformation of the Hulk sees Bruce Banner in complete control of his alter ego. The scientist actually managed to transform the Hulk’s body in a real spaceship, the Starship Hulk, in the cockpit.
The appointment with Banner of War is therefore scheduled for April 27, 2022. In the gallery below we share all the covers of the different numbers that will make up the crossover.
