On the official Twitter account of Studio Ghibli It has been announced that the latest animated film directed by Hayao Miyazaki, Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiruka (How do you live?) will hit theaters in Japan on July 14, 2023. The statement also revealed a new promotional image for this upcoming release.

Miyazaki derived the film from the novel of the same name written by Genzaburo Yoshino in 1937. He also noted that this book is a story that has great meaning for the protagonist of his film. On the other hand, Miyazaki is the author of the original work, he is also directing the film and writing the screenplay. Yoshino perfectly captures the beauty and strangeness of pre-war Japan—the changing of the seasons, the fried tofu and taiyaki stalls, and the lush landscapes—while Copper explores the city on her bike and learns about life from her friends and family is really more important.
