A leak from China revealed a new promotional image for the upcoming light novel film adaptation. Otome game without hametsu flag shika nai akuyaku reijou ni tensei shiteshimatta (Hamefura: My Next Life as a Villainess: All Roads Lead to Destruction!). The visual confirms that it’s scheduled to premiere in 2023 in theaters in Japan, but it’s not yet confirmed if it will be a direct sequel or if it will tell a side story.
The second season, officially titled as Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… X (Hamefura X), aired during the Summer 2021 (July-September) season and had twelve episodes, with crispy roll responsible for western distribution and kept the same production team from the first season. On the other hand, the first season premiered in Japan in April 2020 and had a total of twelve episodes.

Summary of Hamefura
After Katarina, Duke Claes’ daughter, hits her head particularly hard one day, all memories of her former life are recovered: that of a Japanese teenager. Shortly before her untimely death, this girl remembers playing an otome game… and it’s just like the world she lives in now! She is now Katarina Claes, the antagonist of the otome game who molested the protagonist to the end.
