On the official page for the anime adaptation of the light novel series by Satoru Yamaguchi and illustrated by Nami Hidaka, Otome game no Hametsu flag Shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei Shiteshimatta (abbreviated as Hamefura), the fourth compiled Blu-ray volume of the anime is said to have accumulated 4,324 units sold since its release on August 26 in Japan (i.e., its first week).
This volume is, in fact, the final release of the first season and includes episodes 10-12 at a cost of 7,800 yen plus tax. It comes with a PC mini-game and some other benefits.
In addition, Yamaguchi began publishing the novels online through the website Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2014. Then the publisher Ichijinsha began publishing the novels on paper with illustrations by Nami Hidaka and under the publisher’s label Bunko Iris in August 2015. The publisher published the ninth volume in April 2020.
The piece inspired a twelve-episode anime adaptation produced by the studios. Silver link, Headed by Keisuke Inoue and scripts from Megumi Shimizu, released April 2020. The series will have a second season in 2021.
Synopsis of Hamefura
After Duke Claes’ daughter Katarina hit her head particularly hard one day, she remembers all the memories of her previous life – that of a Japanese teenager. Right before her untimely death, this girl remembers playing a game of otom … and it’s just like the world she lives in now!
She is now Katarina Claes, the antagonist of the otom game, who molested the protagonist to the end. He knows all possible outcomes of the game and realizes that all possible roads end in the murder or exile of Katarina. To avoid these catastrophic endings, he must use his knowledge of the game and his own tricks and start breaking this engagement with the prince.
