On the official site for the animated adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Negi Haruba, Gotoubun no Hanayome ((The quintessence of the quintuplets), officially titled as Gotoubun no Hanayome ∬the main promotional video for the project was revealed. The video shows that the series has dated its Japanese premiere on January 7, 2021.
The premiere was planned for October this year. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on production, the premiere has been postponed until January 2021. For his part, Haruba published the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine from the publisher Kodansha between August 2017 and February 2020. The publisher has compiled the work into a total of fourteen volumes and broadcast the first season in January 2019 in Japan.
