During the event Jump party 2023the production of the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Yoshifumi Tozuka, undead bad luck, revealed the first promotional video for the project. The video confirms that the premiere remains planned for 2023 in Japanand reveals new members of the voice cast.
Tozuka started publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly shōnen jump from the publisher shueisha in January 2020. The work was awarded the main prize at the sixth edition of the award Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishouan event honoring work that "promises to have great success in the future".

Synopsis for Undead Pech
After reading the conclusion of her favorite manga series, Fuuko Izumo finally feels ready to end her existence. For the past 10 years, Fuuko has been stricken with a disease that brings extreme misfortune to anyone who touches it. This had a drastic effect on those around her and even unintentionally caused the deaths of those around her, including her parents. On a bridge over the train tracks, Fuuko is touched by a strange man, causing her base to shatter and her falling in front of an oncoming train.
However, upon finding the man's corpse, Fuuko discovers that his body is regenerating and he is brought back to life. The man Fuuko calls Andy is immortal and, like her, wishes for death. Fuuko is hesitant at first, but eventually decides to team up with Andy to give him the best kill possible. But a mysterious organization lurks in the shadows, hoping to exploit the duo's strange abilities.
