The series of Naruto and Boruto they were recently rewarded by the TV station Tokyo, which placed them at the top of the latest revenue ranking. The television network is one of the largest in Japan in the animation sector, and the large figures in the latest financial report give further proof of this.

For fiscal 2019, TV Tokyo made a profit of over 11.6 billion yen, of the high-sounding numbers, obtained in part thanks to the extraordinary success of the Masashi Kishimoto franchise. More specifically, Naruto came first as far as total sales and gross profit are concerned. Boruto, on the other hand, takes second place.

As you can see from the ranking, TV Tokyo’s success can also be attributed to other productions which has a strong hold on the general public. We mainly think of Pokémon, Black Clover and Yu-Gi-Oh !.

Despite significant revenues, the television network will face the threat of Coronavirus, which has caused many of its flagship series to be postponed.

Meanwhile, Naruto’s Hollywood live-action film takes shape; the production, in fact, started the search for the actors. In recent weeks, the animator Masashi Kudo, often busy with illustrations on Bleach, has created a wonderful sketch dedicated to Sasuke.
