Synopsis for Fullmetal Alchemist
Edward Elric, a brilliant young alchemist, lost quite a bit in his twelve years of life: when he and his brother Alphonse attempted to revive their mother through the forbidden act of human transmutation, Edward lost his brother, as well as two members of her body. However, he managed to save his brother’s soul by encasing it in armor. A year later, Edward has become a government alchemist and embarks with his younger brother on a journey to obtain a philosopher’s stone that will enhance an alchemist’s skills and open the possibility of recovering his brother’s body and lost limbs.
