On the official page for the new anime adaptation of the manga Natsuki Takaya, Fruit basketThe second compiled Blu-ray / DVD volume of the second season reportedly accumulated 1,732 units sold less than a week after its release.
The volume was released on August 28th in Japan and contains episodes 5 to 8 of this second season. Both versions cost 10,000 yen plus tax, but the Blu-ray version sold 1,425 units and the DVD version sold 307 units.
The series premiered on the canal on April 6th TV Tokyo and TV Aichi and will have a total of 25 consecutive episodes. The first season of the anime premiered in Japan in April 2019 and contained 25 episodes. This new adaptation of the Fruits Basket Manga features an entirely new cast and production team, just like Takaya requested. In contrast to the 2001 adaptation, this time all events of the manga are dealt with.

Fruit basket synopsis
After a family tragedy changed her life, Tohru Honda, a student, decides to face it with her own hands and moves … into a tent!
Unfortunately, she makes her new home on the grounds of the mysterious Sohma clan, and it doesn’t take long for the owners to discover her secret.
