Arsène Lupine III, the grandson of the fictional thief Arsène Lupine, is considered the greatest thief in the world. His right-wing husband and best friend is Daisuke Jigen, an experienced marksman who can shoot a target accurately in 0.3 seconds. Although Lupine and Jigen often work as a two-man team, they are often aided by Goemon Ishikawa XIII, a master swordsman whose sword can cut anything, and Fujiko Mine, a deadly woman and Lupin’s love interest. Although Fujiko generally works with others, she occasionally takes advantage of Lupin’s interest in her to steal the treasure for herself.
