On the official page for the Original Anime Studios TMS Entertainment, Megalo box ((MEGALOBOX), a new promotional video titled was released for the second season of the project Nomad: Megalo Box 2. The video confirms that the series has dated its premiere for next April 4th and provides a description of this second season:
Ā«Seven years after the last fight in the last episode of the first season, Joe changes his name to Nomad and is back in the underworld rings, which correspond to the sport of “Megalo Box”.Ā».
On the other hand, the first season had a total of thirteen episodes and was originally released in April 2018. However, Viz Media owns the distribution rights Funimation will be responsible for the distribution of this second season.

Megalo Box Synopsis
“Shut up and do what they tell you, that’s the cowardly choice.” These are the words of Junk Dog, a stealth fighter from Megalo Box, the evolved version of boxing that uses mechanical elements known as “gear” to improve the speed and performance of its users. Despite the great potential this young man possesses as a boxer, his illegal nature forces him to earn a living by participating in fights organized by his boss Gansaku Nanbu. That all changes, however, when Yuuri, the Megalo Box champion, steps into his ring in the guise of another challenger. Junk Dog, who retired in a single round, faces the challenge, “If you’re serious about fighting me again, jump in my ring.”
Supported by the criminal syndicate responsible for its solid fights, Junk Dog enters Megalonia – a tournament that spans the world and determines the strongest megaloboxer of all. Not having a real name, he adopts the nickname “Joe” as he begins his climb from the bottom of the fighter rankings. With just three months to qualify, Joe faces opponents he never thought could match his rival’s challenge.
