On the official site for the new anime adaptation of the manga Natsuki Takaya, Fruit basketthe cover of the second season's Blu-ray / DVD compilation, released on August 28 in Japan, was released.

This volume will contain episodes 5 through 8 of this second season and will cost 10,000 yen plus tax in both versions. The series premiered on April 6th across the channel TV Tokyo and TV Aichi and it will have a total of 25 consecutive episodes. The first season of the anime premiered in Japan in April 2019 and contained 25 episodes.

This new adaptation of the Fruits Basket Manga offers a completely new cast and crew, as requested by Takaya. In contrast to the 2001 adaptation, all manga events are also dealt with this time.

Fruit basket synopsis

After a family tragedy changed her life, student Tohru Honda decides to face the matter with her own hands and moves ... into a tent!

Unfortunately, she builds her new home on the land of the mysterious Sohma clan, and it doesn't take long for the owners to discover her secret.

However, while Tohru discovers that the family will offer to put them in their enclosures, he also realizes that the Sohma have their own secret: if they are touched by the opposite sex, they will become Chinese zodiac animals!
