The official Twitter profile of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma confirmed a few minutes ago the corridor rumors of early May, according to which the transmission of the anime would resume in July 2020. Food Wars 5 will return next July 3 and will start from episode 1, therefore the new episodes will be broadcast from 17 July 2020 onwards.
At the bottom you can take a look at the tweet in question, complete with a short dedicated teaser trailer. The airing of the fifth season of the anime had been blocked on April 17 after the broadcast of the first two episodes, due to production problems related to the Coronavirus pandemic. The health emergency is still present, but the new security measures seem able to guarantee the regular distribution of the episodes.
We remind you that Food Wars 5 is visible in Italy on the streaming site Crunchyroll, and that the synopsis reads as follows: “It has been announced that a world cooking competition “The Blue” will be held soon. There are three places up for grabs for the Totsuki Culinary Institute. With that seat at stake, a “Blue Prequel” will be held for all students of the academy. Everyone is welcome and many students will be happy to participate. Who will be the three winners chosen by the 99 judges? A battle royale between the chefs on the “soup” theme is about to begin“.
