The second part of the series Pokémon exploration> highlighted some pretty important challenges for Ash and Goh who, after the trio of legends introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, also faced the mighty Mewtwo. The beginning of the third part does not seem to be surpassed with the return to the Kalos region and new clashes.

In the first episode that was recently released, Ash had to face the trainer Ornella. This character had last appeared during the XY series, and it was on that occasion that he faced the Pallet Town trainer at the gym in Yantaropoli, a coastal town in the northwest of the region. Ash, initially in trouble, had managed to win on that occasion, largely thanks to Serena's advice, but The coach's trip to Kalos appears to have resulted in an inevitable rematch.

This is the first time in Pokémon Explorations that Ash has faced a sports director outside of Galar and, very relevantly, the mega evolutions that were introduced in the sixth generation of monsters appear to be back. Ash and Goh travel to Kalos to take part in the Festival of Battles ChallengeThis is a perfect way to earn positions and wins in world competition.

After a few fights, which Ash can easily win, there is a distant Pokémon, a Lucario, and not just any Pokémon, but that of the sports director Ornella, who is there for the same reason as the protagonist. This time Ash decides to face Ornella with Gengarwhile opponent Mienshao fielded Mienfoo's final form seen during XY. After a very intense exchange of blows, Gengar is defeated by Lucario and Ash decides to send his loved one out. Dragonite.

After a brief exchange between Lucario and Mienshao, Ornella decides to be cornered by Dragonite's incredible resistance Mega develops his best Pokémonwhich, however, does not counteract the power of Ash's dragon, who wins again. Remember that Ash and Goh will be trying to capture a legend in the next few episodes and that the series will return in January 2021.
