In the second saga directed by the anime of Dragon Ball Z, Goku and his companions are summoned to save the universe from the threat of Freeza. Because of this, they move from Earth to the planet Namek, populated by alien warriors of the same race as Piccolo.
During the adventure on Namek, the Z Warriors also deal with that Ginew team, consisting of five fighters employed by Freeza: Ginew, Reekom, Burter, Guldo and Jeeth. They are the protagonists of battles in which they are cornered by Vegeta and then finally defeated by Goku, although Ginyu also manages to steal the Saiyan’s body.
The Ginew team, with its quirks and idiosyncrasies, has always been held in high esteem by fans.
