In the ’90s, the success of Dragon Ball Z allowed Toei Animation to take the series to the cinema. In fact, it was common to make unique feature films about once a year – sometimes even several times a year – with raw enemies who would only live in those 90 minutes.

Cooler is one of the most iconic characters in the Dragon Ball Z universe. He first appeared in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Cooler’s Revenge and then returned in Dragon Ball Z: Invasion of Neo Namek. Cooler is Frieza’s older brother and a fearsome intergalactic warrior. Cooler is known for his blue skin and appearance very similar to Frieza’s, but with a larger and more muscular physique, as well as a mismatch of colors.

Cooler is also much stronger than Frieza and can transform further a fifth time. Toyotaro recently gave way to Cooler in an unpublished illustration, but it has nothing to do with the Dragon Ball Super manga. However, considering how much the universe is currently expanding and how many new enemies are needed, it might make sense to consider a return of Cooler to the saga.

Cooler will never return to Dragon Ball? In fact, it would be better to wonder if Cooler will finally make his official and canon debut for the first time since he is an unofficial character and only associated with his movies. Surely the presence of a warrior like him could lead to a sensational double challenge, with Goku and Vegeta against him and Frieza.

Alternatively, it would be useful to recycle his fifth transformation by giving it to Frieza. In fact, the Galactic Emperor seems to have peaked with Black Frieza, and unless other colors are brought out, the character would be stuck in that form permanently. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll see Frieza with Cooler transformation to further increase your power.
