Yoshihiro Togashi immediately caught the eye in the 90s thanks to Yu degli Spectra, one of the most popular and best-selling manga of all time, which in those years managed to fight with legends like Dragon Ball, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and many others on Weekly Shonen Jump. The mangaka then returned with after a fragmented period Hunter X Hunter.

Hunter x Hunter is an anime and manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The story is about a little boy named Gon Freecss who decides to become a hunter to find out the truth about the disappearance of his father who was a famous hunter. During his journey, Gon meets numerous allies and opponents, faces many challenges and discovers secrets about the world he lives in and gradually comes to understand the nature of the world and why his father Ging decided to leave the family for all of this.

Hunter x Hunter was born out of a passion for video games and a specific type of collection that helped the mangaka get through tough times. And so, on March 3, 1998, Weekly Shonen Jump launched Hunter x Hunter in its own magazine, apparently placing the new manga at the top with covers and colored pages. Today March 3, 2023 Hunter x Hunter turns 25, which have not all been very continuous for the mangaka due to health issues that always force him to avoid appearing in the magazine for months. Despite the hiatus from Hunter x Hunter, the manga remains one of the magazine’s best-selling and most popular.

Hunter x Hunter is an intriguing and unique series which has captured a large audience around the world. Its intricate and well-constructed storytelling coupled with its detailed and innovative combat system make it a must-read for anime and manga fans.
