The countdown to the debut of Dragon Ball Super: Superhero in Japan it will soon run out. Expectations are high for this new project as TOEI Animation seems to have set some twists and turns for fans of the saga.
The return of Goten and Trunks, the new androids and the rumors about Cell are just some of the news that seem to distinguish this project written by Akira Toriyama. The author also seems to have built this story with the goal of reviving the characters Gohan and Piccolo. The Sensei actually answered a few questions to clarify the role of these two characters in the film:
"Son Gohan is actually stronger than everyone else...or so they say, but he hasn't really had a chance to show it lately. To motivate Gohan, it needs Piccolo, his faithful teacher, rather than his father, Goku. I thought I'd try birthing a new superhero and spotlight these two during their intense battles with the Gamma Cyborgs."
After that, Toriyama clarifies that Relationship between Piccolo and Gohan's family: "Gohan has always had a strong bond with Piccolo since training with him as a child. And Videl and Pan now see Piccolo as a family member they can rely on more than anyone else."
Finally, the Sensei reminds readers how much Piccolo is his favorite character and that he couldn't wait to throw it into the fray after so long on the sidelines of the story. And what do you expect from this highly anticipated film instead? As always, let us know what you think with a comment below.
