For several years now, the design of Dragon Ball Super has been entrusted to Toyotaro, a mangaka who has made a name for himself with several illustrations and doujinshi based on the immortal work of Akira Toriyama. So the same original writer involved him in the new project that he has had in his hand since 2015.
However, Akira Toriyama continues to participate in the creation of Dragon Ball Super content, is following the future stories of the series with V-Jump editor Victory Uchida. However, this does not mean that Toriyama decides everything in detail and that Toyotaro leaves a lot of decision-making freedom. In the latest Granolah saga, Baddack is back. Although the return of Goku’s father was briefly praised by fans, albeit with various doubts about the Saiyan’s behavior. The decision to bring Baddack back was up to Toyotaroas the mangaka itself confirmed in a recent interview.
It had been a while since Toyotaro wanted to introduce Baddack into the main story because he almost never showed up. Bringing it in was a challenge, however, since Baddack had been dead for years, but the opportunity arose during the Cerelean Survivor saga. Toyotaro therefore showed his ideas to Akira Toriyama, who welcomed them positively. According to the original mangaka, the choice seemed right and so Toyotaro was confident enough to continue with the story we published in Dragon Ball Super a few months ago.
Toyotaro also spoke about the origins of Vegeta’s Ultra Ego, waiting to see its official color version.
