Since 1984, the year he debuted on the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, dragon ball Not only has it inspired millions of fans, it has also inspired the entire future generation of Battle Shonen. As a tribute to Akira Toriyama’s work, there’s also a very special fan, To Love-Ru author Kentaro Yabuki.
To stay true to its previous promise in achieving the 530,000 Twitter followers, the mangaka made a sketch paying tribute to one of Dragon Ball Z and Super’s most popular characters, the space tyrant Freeza.
But why did the author decide to publish this illustration of Freeza only in connection with the 530,000 followers and not, say, exactly half a million? The most avid fans will already have figured this out, but 530,000 are Freeza’s Ki value at its base level. Therefore, Yabuki turned out to be a great lover of Akira Toriyama’s work.
Yabuki, who’s busy serializing Ayakashi Triangle, which will soon be coming to an anime adaptation, following the success of To Love-Ru, isn’t the only mangaka to celebrate Goku’s adventures. Given the 40th anniversary of the franchiseIn fact, Kishimoto, Oda, Kubo and many others participated in the Dragon Ball Super Gallery Project, an initiative where the artists illustrate the different covers of the manga according to their style.
We salute you and leave you to the illustrations to celebrate the career of Kentaro Yabuki and to a fanart of Goku Super Saiyan God.
