On the official site for the anime adaptation of the manga, written and illustrated by Akui Makoto, Oh no orchestra (Blue Orchestra) the first promotional image of the project was released. The press release confirmed that the premiere is planned for the season of Spring 2023 (April-July) in Japan.

Jun SakataProducer of the project, commented: «Ao no Orchestra is a coming-of-age story in which the frustrated protagonist is fascinated by the world of the orchestra and grows up with his friends. By presenting both the drama and the musical performance in a way only animation can, I aim to convey the passionate message of youth -[entusiasmarse con algo y dedicarse a ello] Y [tener el valor de superar los fracasos y los contratiempos]- The most direct route».

Oh no orchestra

Akui began publishing the manga through the digital service sleeve one from the publisher Shogakukan in April 2017. Previously, Akui was responsible for the manga adaptation of the feature film Kokoro ga sakebita gateunda (The hymn of the heart), released in Japan between July 2015 and July 2016.

Summary for Ao no Orchestra

Aono Hajime was an excellent violinist until he got tired of playing the violin for personal reasons. Now in her third year of high school, she is struggling with deciding on her academic path. One day at school, he meets Akine Ritsuko, a hot-tempered violinist who wants to enroll in a high school with a prestigious orchestra club. As he grows closer to Ritsuko and returns to the world of violinists, time begins to tick for him again. This is the beginning of a youth drama in which tones and hearts vibrate harmoniously.
