Although Monaito tries to convince him to return home and leave him and Granolah to their fate, the Saiyan will now he considers gas to be his personal affair. However, when the Heeters ask him if he is fighting to avenge the death of Granolah’s mother, Baddack replies that he is only fighting for fun. A Saiyan never runs away from combat and the opportunity to face off against a higher ranked opponent is something you can’t do without.
No Saiyan would ever fight without a desire to win Battle, and Baddack uses his pride to become more powerful and eventually defeat Gas.
