The fight between Goku, Vegeta and Granolah was interrupted by the Namekian Monaito. This disruption brought great revelations for the the Dragon Ball Super story arc “Granolah the Survivor”‘Let’s see what happened.
In Chapter 78 of Dragon Ball Super, available on Manga Plus, the focus has returned to the present and we see the Heeters get back into action. As expected from the spoilers for Dragon Ball Super 78, the chapter begins with the latter worrying about the fate of the clash that had preoccupied Granolah up to that point.
Elec, to fix the situation, decides to send Gas and Macki on the spot, in the meantime he’ll have to do it After getting all the Dragon Balls, make the wish. Shortly thereafter, we readers learn that despite Gass’ immense strength, Baddack managed to defeat him, but when Monaito tries to make history, the sky suddenly darkens.
At this point, Elec faces the dragon Toronbo, and a few moments later the sky clears up: the leader of the Heeters has expressed the wish. Vegeta, Goku and Granolah learn that a being with enormous powers is approaching them and Gas and Macki actually step onto the scene.
Gas is bigger and more muscular than seen before. Elec’s wish seems to have been changed the hierarchy of the strongest in the universe, causing gas to triumph over Granolah.
After successfully expressing their desire to make Gas the new strongest being in the universe, the three fighters quickly develop a plan to take on the powerful new opponent.
Remember it’s still a Senzu Bean in Vegeta’s armor, Goku undertakes to distract the Heeters to give Vegeta time to relax. Goku is confident because he thinks it’s the right choice, but the big surprise is what Goku says shortly thereafter.
Vegeta is visibly concerned about the upcoming fight, however Goku tells Vegeta that he can transform into his new mode and defeat Gas. This leads us to suspect that not only does Goku have enough faith in Vegeta’s abilities to defeat the new strongest in the universe, but he also believes that the ultra-ego form is able to bridge the gap between the two.
There hasn’t been enough time between the two of them to understand what they both think of this new form of Vegeta, but this is a small hint that lets us know that Goku truly respects his ally and opponent. What do you think? Curious to see more of Goku’s reactions to Vegeta’s ultra-ego form? Let us know all of your thoughts on this in the comments.
