After Bardock was canonically reintroduced into the Broly film in a whole new way, Bardock made his official comeback in Dragonball Super. Thanks to Monaito’s flashback, the three fighters learn the truth about the night cereal fell. However, this created a large narrative hole.
By the words of the Elder Namek of Grain, Granolah finally discovers the truth about the day his race was slaughtered by Freezer’s army. Apparently it is only thanks to the mercy of a Saiyan, a gentle warrior that Monaito seems to recognize in Goku if he survives. It was Baddack, Kakarot’s father, who saved Granolah and Monaito from certain death. But already here the community has started to turn up its noses. Why the Namek he never told this storyknowing even Granolah’s vengeful instinct?
When Monaito then asks Goku if he doesn’t happen to know the Saiyan who saved his life, the hero replies that since he grew up on earth, he never had contact with other members of his race. At this point, however, Vegeta intervenes, who reveals this to his eternal rival Baddack is actually his father and who has inherited his kind heart.
Based on his claims, Vegeta seems to know Baddack pretty well. Even though he was a child back then, next to his father King Vegeta he was already in command of the Saiyan units. But if Vegeta knew Goku’s family, why didn’t he tell them about it? The two obviously don’t have it never deepened their relationship, albeit not in combat, but that this connection has never been revealed before is a bit strange. That Toriyama and Toyotaro created it Texture hole to justify Granolah’s Retcon?
And you what do you think We leave you to the tragic fate of Granolah’s mother in Dragon Ball Super 77 and the final form of Vegeta Ultra Ego according to this fanart.
