Goku achieved Ultra Instinct during the Tournament of Power. This divine transformation seems to be very related to the angels and it is no coincidence that the Saiyan began to train with Merus and Whis in the Dragon Ball Super Manga. Instead, Vegeta took a different route, following the instructions of Beerus, the god of destruction.
And in the end, his efforts paid off. At the Dragon Ball Super 74 finale, fans were thrilled with Vegeta’s transformation. The Saiyan lost his eyebrows like Goku in Super Saiyan 3 but got a fiery aura that exudes destruction. We still don’t know how the new shape of Vegeta will officially appear in color which on a technical level could be some kind of twist on Ultra Instinct, but with a strong presence from Hakai.
We’ll have to wait for confirmation, but in the meantime, a phrase found in Chapter 74 of Dragon Ball Super that was deleted from official translations could shed light on the mystery. Typically, in Japanese magazines, editors add a sentence or two to the beginning and end of the chapter, but they are never mentioned in the official translations. In this case, V-Jump editor wrote: “The force of destruction has been awakened !!”which makes the origin of Vegeta’s power even clearer.
We are therefore faced the instinct of destruction?
The ending text in the Spanish (& JP) version, which (as always) has been removed from the English chapter, says
