Dragon Ball needs no introduction. Akira Toriyama’s manga is ubiquitous and was taken as a model by all the mangakas growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, but continues to make its mark today. The story continues with Dragon Ball Super, but there are plenty of projects in the pipeline that wink at the first events.
In fact, Shueisha has long since started doing this Super Gallery project that aims to bring together some famous mangaka who, with their drawing style, reproduce Akira Toriyama’s old covers differently and with their vision. Tite Kubo has already redesigned a cover of Dragon Ball, while in the last few hours the illustration prepared by Hiroshi Shiibashi has been unveiled.
The Sensei Shiibashi has long collaborated with Shueisha, covering Nurarihyon no Mago – The Lords of Monsters, Illegal Rare, and Yui Kamio Let’s Loose on Weekly Shonen Jump, as well as other series and oneshots on other magazines from the same publisher. Shiibashi decided to redesign Dragon Ball Volume 6, when Goku fought with the Red Ribbon. Perspective and details are completely different, and surely this Dragon Ball cover has different charm from the original.
Do you remember all the Red Ribbon members that Goku faced in the past?
