L 'Dragon Ball Anime, the first mythical adventure that began Goku's long journey, has just turned 35. In fact, it was February 26, 1986 when Akira Toriyama's work first aired in Japan.

The epic of Little Goku in Search of the Seven Dragon Balls, which began on the Shonen Jump pages in 1984, hit TV just two years later and quickly became one of the epic poems most popular and influential cartoon series in the world.

The anime was produced by Toei Animation through Studio Bird for a total of 153 episodes, ie from first meeting between Son Goku and Bulma to the bloody fight with Piccolo in the 23rd Tenkaichi tournament. In addition to these, which adapted the first 17 volumes of the manga, four unpublished films were added. The Dragon Ball animated series contains entirely original elements and has caused "continuity" problems with fans over the years.

This happened on the first Italian broadcast 1989 on the historic Junior TV. Despite the original synchronization and without censorship, this version only covered the first 54 episodes. Success came in 1996 when Mediaset bought the rights to the franchise and made a completely new adaptation. Dragon Ball arrived at Italia 1's "lunchtime" in 1999 and rewrote the story of millions of Italian children. a success consecrated by the great Italian acronym.
