The official website for Q Hayashida’s chaotic masterpiece has finally dropped the key visual for the second season of Dorohedoro, and more importantly, they’ve given us a hard date we can actually rely on.
According to the announcement released this Sunday, the premiere is locked in for . The best part? They are promising a “near simultaneous release worldwide”. That means no awkward dodging of spoilers while waiting for a local release; we are all getting thrown back into “The Hole” together.
Originally, we were looking at 2025 for this return, but schedules shifted. Now, the brutal hunt for identity continues. Caiman and Nikaido are picking up right where they left off, and if you know anything about this show, you know things are about to get messy.

For those catching up, the story drops us into a gloomy, desolate city called “The Hole.” It’s a rough place where sorcerers kidnap humans for heinous experiments. Our protagonist, Caiman, is a man with a reptile’s head and no memory of who he used to be. He’s tearing through the sorcerer population with his partner Nikaido, driven by a singular need to find the mage responsible for his condition and settle the score.
The first season hit Netflix Japan in January 2020 and landed globally that May. It’s been a long road back, but the stage is set.
