Walt Disney celebrates its 100th birthday with a difficult decision. One of his historical comic series will say goodbye to readers forever. Disney will no longer publish some Scrooge McDuck comics.

Through a post published in his official fan club's Facebook group, the American cartoonist Don Rosa has announced that two of its stories, part of the Scrooge McDuck saga, will no longer be reprinted. The comics in question are 2002's The Dream of a Lifetime and 1994's The Heart of the Empire.

The reason for this decision has not been officially announced at the moment, but it is not difficult to understand the reasons that led to this drastic decision. In both of Don Rosa's stories, the character of Bombie the Gongoro, a living dead who is resurrected by voodoo magic, appears and represents one African man in ragged clothes and caricatured look. If this figure didn't cause a sensation when he made his debut in 1949, today it's quite the opposite. The Walt Disney Company is currently conducting a diversity and inclusion campaign and reviewing its library.

Also, Heart of the Empire is a story in which Uncle Scrooge is portrayed as a dark character who Destroy the life of the African tribe to get as much money as possible. Again, today's political correctness cannot tolerate such a thing.

As suggested by Don Rosa, the Scrooge McDuck Saga will never be published againat least until the company policy changes again, since the story would be meaningless without these two chapters.
