Over the last few weeks, part of the community has been speaking out against Nezuko’s transformation during the Confrontation with Daki, an event that saw a couple of breast sizes increase in addition to her powers. Many have viewed this decision as the result of over-the-top fan service that would sexualize what was actually an underage character.
However, it seems that the topic has attracted more attention than expected due to the censorship of the new promotional images placed at strategic points of the city of Tokyo. A user shared thislatest poster about Demon Slayer 2 posted at Tokyo Station, an illustration that on the one hand shrinks Nezuko’s chest after the transformation and on the other hand hides it from Daki with a kind of halo.
Apparently, therefore, the production committee took the recent controversy seriously and preferred to disseminate the new images in a way that did not fuel the controversy any further.
