Japan is gearing up for the advent of the second season of Demon Slayer, and pending the announcement of the new episodes’ release date, Ufotable has confirmed that the anime will return to television with a compilation full of unreleased episodes. The reruns start on September 11th and end on September 25th, Release date of the film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.
Overall, Ufotable has announced a will to bring the series back on TV in full to give everyone the opportunity to recreate the anime before the new season begins. The exact release date of Season 2 could therefore be announced on September 25th, immediately after the TV broadcast of the record-breaking feature film. Below is the schedule.
Demon Slayer on TV (Japan)
- A bond between brothers – September 11th (episodes 1/5)
- Asakusa saga – September 12th (episodes 6/10)
- The Tsuzumi mansion – September 18th (episodes 11/14)
- Saga of Mount Natagumo – September 19th (episodes 15/21)
- Education of the Hashira – September 23rd (episodes 22/26)
- Demon Slayer: Mugen Train – September 25th (full film on TV premiere)
Demon Slayer: sibling bonds (lit.A Bond Between Brothers) is the first film in the series to be shown in cinemas in 2020 before the start of Mugen Train. The film contains the first five episodes of the anime and is intended as an introduction for newbies. Afterward, all narrative sheets plus the film will be broadcast, and once the reruns are complete, the release of Demon Slayer 2 should be announced.
As for the additional content, Ufotable has confirmed that it will mainly be adjustments to the animations, but there will also be several unreleased post-credit scenes and brand new previews for subsequent episodes. It is not known at the moment whether there will be any further news.
