THAT Demon Slayer Demon Hunter: Kimetsu no Yaiba are a non-governmental organization run by the Ubuyashiki family for generations. Kibutsuji Muzan’s staunch opponents embodied this group to prevent man-eating demons across Japan, albeit with many sacrifices.
However, managing such a group requires an internal organization that ranks all of Demon Slayer’s warriors to understand the strength of each one and to rely on the achievement society to get to the top. What are the ranks of Demon Slayer?? Let’s look at them, starting with the lowest.
All start as Mizunoto, the tenth grade obtained after passing the exam and receiving his own nichirin. Then there is the Mizunoe, the Kanoto, and the Kanoe. The latter is the seventh rank and this is where Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke are located during the events of Demon Slayer 2. A higher rank is Tsuchinoto, sixth rank and current rank of Kanao Tsuyuri, disciple of the Kocho Shinobu pillar.
The ranking continues with the top 5, starting with Tsuchinoe and then with Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto and Kinoe. The latter is the highest rank among demon hunters without the pillarssitting on the organizational pyramid of the demon slayer. The pillars are significantly stronger than Tanjiro and companions, with some of them already demonstrating the great difference in strength compared to a normal hunter.
However, as we have seen in earlier stages of history, not even a pillar like Rengoku is capable of defeating a high-ranking demon like Akaza on its own.
