The story arc of the red light district of Demon Hunter it turns out to be incredibly intense and with increasing speed, which is mainly given by the spectacularity of the clashes. Tanjiro and his companions actually found themselves against the Sixth Crescent, having to rely on new strategies developed on the ground.
In particular, in the opening sequences of episode 2×16 available on Crunchyroll, the protagonist had to think in a few moments a way to protect Hinatsuru, one of the wives of the Tengen Uzui Pillar of Sound, threatened by Gyutaro, Daki’s older brother with whom she shares the title Sixth Crescent. Tengen himself considered timely intervention risky for the Kunoichi’s life, but Tanjiro managed such a feat thanks to surprise Union of his water breath and the dance of the fire god.
Certainly an interesting find that allowed Tanjiro to reach Hinatsuru and act as a shield against Gyutaro’s attacks, which at the same time were getting worse the already critical conditions in which the protagonist finds himself. At the end of the news you can see the clip showing the merging of the two breathing styles, brilliantly animated by the artists of the Ufotable studio.
Tanjiro seems to be improving visibly, he’s managed to master using Water Breathing in a defensive way to dodge enemy attacks and now he’s even managed to exploit his own experience in relation to two different styles in a way that many demon slayers would envy.
