The latest episode of the anime by Demon Hunter surprised fans with a big feint regarding the Crescent Moons demon. In Demon Slayer 2×13, Tanjiro fought a spectacular battle trying to prevent his sister from losing control of the Sixth Crescent, Daki.
However, if the pillar of sound, tengen finally arriving at the crime scene, he gets rid of Daki with disarming ease. And he starts by saying it can’t really be a crescent they faced. Tengen is right because it turns out Daki isn’t the only one in this demon body.
The beautiful Daki has a grotesque “brother” named Gyutaro in Demon Slayer 2×14. Gyutaro emerges from Daki’s body after Tengen quickly decapitates the demon girl. Because of Gyutaro, even the traditional method of chopping off heads fails to bring Daki down, and Gyutaro’s power proves even more terrifying than his sister’s.
Not only Gyutaro moves just as if not faster than Tengen, but he also has even faster regeneration powers than Daki and can heal his sister as well as himself. The worst is that Gyutaro’s “Blood Demon Art” uses “Blood Scythes” which he can control at will to cause massive destruction around him. These weapons aren’t even foiled by Tengen, as thick blood can’t be cut in the traditional sense.
From what we’ve seen so far, Gyutaro’s entire psyche is tied to her ugly looks, as opposed to her sister’s flawless looks. The Crescent Demon is clearly one of the most psychologically unstable demons we’ve seen among the Crescents to date his envy of Tengen’s good looks, his power, and his three wives They make him go wild to ruin the pillar’s beautiful face.
We know that Demon Slayer likes to delve into the problems of demonic opponents which Tanjiro and his companions face, giving them a real background to deepen the emotional resonance of the duels.
Daki and Gyutaro could be the most interesting enemies what we’ve seen so far that might help characterize this Entertainment District Arc even more in Ufotable’s oeuvre. Fans are looking forward to the next episode, in which the demon hunters will take action in the fight against Gyutaro and Daki.
But how powerful is Demon Slayer 2’s new enemy? What do you expect from the season highlight? We remind you that you can watch Demon Slayer 2 episodes on Crunchyroll.
