A special situation created by the Mugen Train demon is forcing Tanjiro making a brutal decision that is also the cliffhanger of the final third episode of Demon Slayer 2.
The third episode of the second season of Demon Hunter has now brought Mugen, Tanjiro, Rengoku and the other protagonists on board the train. Unfortunately, these were immediately caught in the trap of Enmu (the terror of the demon was shown in the first episode of Demon Slayer 2), in which they all fall asleep and dream at the end of the second episode of the second season of Demon Slayer.
Then we discovered that it is the nature of those dreams that is there Enmus trap. In fact, these change depending on the person in order to be as comfortable as possible. For example, in Demon Slayer 2×03, Tanjiro dreams of a family that was lost in the very first episode of the anime series.
That makes the final episode even more heartbreaking as it not only forces Tanjiro to make a conscious decision to part with those happy memories and loved ones, but he also takes it a decision to be brutally defined is an understatement.
Tanjiro is fast asleep and has no idea how to wake up from his sleep, even though he is aware that he is stuck inside. The intuition that occurs to him at the end of the episode, thanks to the appearance of his father in a dream, is that of to kill oneself. But it is natural that such an important choice cannot be so easily considered.
In this third episode of Demon Slayer, the parting scenes with his family make things even more painful. The youngest of the brothers tries to chase him, cries and trips. Make it worse the young Tanjiro also meets Nezuko, very quietly human.
The demon slayer is forced to leave his beloved family again and finally to give up this little insight into the newly won serenity. In the final moments of the episode, Tanjiro lifts the sword to his neck and squeezes it with the other hand to sink it into the flesh.
All we see next is the blood covering the snow, but there is no way of knowing if this extreme gesture affects the sleeping Tanjiro as well. We remind you that the fourth episode of Demon Slayer 2 has been postponed for a week.
