The Justice League’s Days Are Numbered: Within the story contained in Justice League #75, The DC Universe’s mightiest superheroes are being slain. With the release of some promotional images, Death of the Justice League writers Joshua Williamson and Rafa Sandoval reveal who was responsible for the team’s deaths.
Dubbed Pariah’s Dark Army by Williamson, this team of super villains consists of Heavyweights like Ares, Darkseid, Doomsday, Eclipso, Neron and Nekron. Created by Sandoval, the illustration shows the members of this team encased in mysterious black chains.
Over the course of the Justice League Incarnate series, this has been shown Pariah’s dark army is under the control of the Great Darkness, the source of all evil in the DC Universe. Justice League Incarnate has also revealed the origin of Pariah: he is a multiverse traveler who, after originally being a hero, formed an alliance with the Great Darkness.
“I think one of the reasons they did great [la Morte di Superman] It was that after the Funeral for a Friend story, there was no Superman in the comics for the next three months. This is in part what prompted us to make the decision to release the latest installment of Justice League“explained Williamson.”Three months later, however, there will still be no Justice League comic. Even though Justice League #75 (scheduled for release on April 19th) is actually the latest issue of the magazine, a new Justice League formation is already set to make its debut in the pages of Dark Crisis, DC Comics’ next crossover event.
