In the summer of 2022, the animated adaptation of Dark Gathering, the manga series by Kenichi Kondo published on Shueisha’s Jump Square since 2019, was officially announced. In production at OLM studio, the anime will arrive exactly one year after the announcement.

A new promotional film for the anime Dark Gathering announced the release window for the series. The first part of the horror that will give viewers goosebumps appears in Month of July 2023.

The debut window of the premiere was also accompanied by new production information. Voice actors include Yu Sashara (Yayoi Hozuki), Nobunaga Shimazaki (Keitaro Gentoga), Kana Hanazawa (Eiko Hozuki), and Rina Kawaguchi (Ai Kamiyo). Among the OLM studio staff working on the anime, we find Hiroshi Ikehata as the director, Shigeru Murakoshi as the script supervisor, and Shin’ya Segawa as the character designer.

Dark Gathering follows the story of Keitaro Gentoga, who has medium skills. In middle school, he was involved in a spirit possession incident and was imprisoned for two years. Reintroduced into society as a private tutor, he is entrusted to a girl named Yayoi Hozuki, who immediately senses Keitaro’s abilities. The two will therefore go in search of a certain ghost in a supernatural horror comedy.
