A trailer for the anime Classroom of the Elite sequel project was shown in a special that aired on Sunday. The video announces that the series will have a second and third season to fully animate the “first year” portion of the original story of the light novels written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose.
The second season of Classroom of the Elite was announced a few weeks ago and will be released next July The third season will air in 2023. Both are produced by Lark Studios. The cast of voice actors from Season 1 will return to fill their respective roles.

Shougo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose began publishing light novels in May 2015 through Media Factory’s MF Bunko J label. The publisher has published a total of fourteen volumes (including the intermediate volumes: 4.5, 7.5 and 11.5). Subsequently, a sequel titled Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e: 2-nensei-hen (Classroom of the Elite: Second Year) was released in January 2020. The franchise already has more than 6 million copies in circulation.
